μπορούν να εγκαταστήσουν το MATLAB, στον προσωπικό τους ΗΥ, όλα τα Μέλη ΔΕΠ, ΕΔΙΠ, ΕΤΕΠ, όλοι οι Συνεργάτες και όλοι οι φοιτητές (αρκεί να έχουν ενεργό email στο domain aspete.gr).Παρακαλώ να ενημερωθούν όλοι οι Συνεργάτες και όλοι οι φοιτητές με τον πιο πρόσφορο τρόπο για την δυνατότητα εγκατάστασης του MATLAB.
Στο portal υπάρχει επίσης το Need installation help? Contact Support όπου δίνονται κάποια σύντομα βιντεάκια με την όλη διαδικασία, αλλά και τα online interactive εκπαιδευτικά σεμινάρια (~100 ώρες σε διάφορα θέματα, όπως Μηχανική Μάθηση, Μαθηματικά, Στατιστική, Μοντελοποίηση Συστημάτων κα).
Σε σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα θα πραγματοποιηθούν κάποια webinars σχετικά με το MATLAB για τα οποία θα ενημερωθείτε.
Ακολουθούν κάποιες οδηγίες του κατασκευαστή για ενέργειες που πρέπει να αποφεύγονται κατά την εγκατάσταση.
Basically three main reasons for 90% of installation problems
- “Old” computer. The computer might be a 32bit OS while current MATLAB supports 64bit. Students should consult MATLAB products requirements since a – not so old – computer may not be compatible with the current MATLAB version (note that we also deal with MACs, Linux etc).
- Students should be encouraged to not install all MATLAB products (which is tempting). Doing so may make their Computers run out of space during the process, and will be required to install third party compilers and other products which may complicate the Installation considerably. Students should be guided to install the products required for their course work, at least initially.
- The install path should not contain non-ascii characters as Greek characters are. Better include in the installation instructions, the statement “use only US characters” to avoid any misconception.
